Headboards seem to have come back into fashion recently and it is a great way to update the look of your bed and bedroom. Here are a few fabulous ideas on how.

This is a great way to recycle old frames, or a great excuse to hit an op shop for supplies. Take a colour from your favorite bedspread and paint your frames to match. Perhaps leave the glass in one and place a complimentary image into it such as a flower in a similar colour.
This is a beautiful way to convert and use an old fireplace. Inlaid with a mirror and 'shabbied', this gorgeous headboard is a lovely way to frame a bed - and even gives a little shelving space for a few special nicknacks.
Mirrors always make great headboards and, as they reflect light, they give a more spacious feeling to the room.
This is such an effective but simple idea! Next time you renovate or visit your local salvage yard look around for timber panels, doors or in fact anything that is the right width that can be easily converted. Cheap and Chic!
